I'm not writing much because my browser keeps crashing every time I type anything on Blogger, so yeah... just enjoy the music, or don't. If you never liked my vocals or synth stuff and whatnot, you might still like this album for Gotvet's heavy ass guitars, so give it a chance... or don't. Anyway, it's nice to finally put out a new DES album after a literal decade.

Deformed Elephant Surgery - Lewd Anime Noises (2022)

This song might have the stupidest lyrics I've ever written (at least after the first album, but let's not even talk about that), and it's full of sped-up porn samples to enhance the atmosphere. Oh, and also a sample of Jared Dines and Austin Dickey talking about feeling movement in your ass for literally no reason. And a bunch of other samples, too. Don't take this song too seriously, even by DES standards it's pretty ridiculous... and yeah, metal with dubstep influences in 2022? What is this, did the world really end ten years ago on this exact date and we're stuck in purgatory?

Guitars and bass are by Gotvet, who's (hopefully) sticking around for at least one album: https://soundcloud.com/user-531651005

Check out the lyric video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvY_At8xp38

And of course, just like everything else, this song is free to download from Bandcamp.
...or Mediafire. Includes instrumental version and version without the samples.

Vlürch - 地獄的心象風景 (2021)

Some time ago, I decided that someday I'd make a proper death metal album. I'd also decided that I'd make an album with lyrics entirely in Japanese. Well, this album is technically neither of those things, since it's not entirely death metal and not all of the lyrics are in Japanese, but it's close enough that I feel like those goals are fulfilled. Doesn't necessarily mean I won't set one or both of those goals for myself again, and actually sticking to it 100%, but I don't think that's very likely to happen.

01. 暗み
02. 死屍累々たる修羅場
03. 万華鏡地獄の回転木馬
04. ピエログロ
05. 肉傀儡
06. 人間の繭
07. 虹光身
08. 膿の海の生み

(Click on song titles to listen on Youtube, or click here for it as one video.)

This album had a lot of "firsts" for me; the first album with actual bass on all tracks, the first album with five-string bass (but not on all tracks), the first album with sanshin (but only in three tracks), the first album where I recorded guitars directly to my interface without pedals (except for compression and noise gate), the first album where the process of making songs was more "traditional" rather than just recording random shit and mashing it together, and I imagine the first album I can actually call metal without pissing somebody off.

...unless it's still not metal enough thanks to the weird psychedelic parts, the random jazz part and synth bit in the third track, the borderline nu metal-ish fourth track, the entirety of the seventh track and the fact that it's not released physically because everybody knows it's not metal unless it has a limited cassette run of 666 copies signed with blood.

Deformed Elephant Surgery - Unicorn Worship (2019)

So, here it finally is! The tenth anniversary EP! Hopefully it being just an EP isn't too much of a disappointment for those who were expecting a full-length album, but I'm not saying it won't be expanded into one later. I'm also not saying it will be, though, because that would depend on various factors. Anyway...

1. Unicorn Worship
2. No Loli-Gagging
3. BEAR HERO
4. Lepidopterous Inundation
5. Scarlet Explosion
6. Pink Unicorn Chaos Rainbow
7. Snuff Film Casting Call
8. Cute Girls Cutting Zombies to Pieces
9. Unicorn Worship (instrumental)
10. No Loli-Gagging (instrumental)
11. BEAR HERO (instrumental)
12. Lepidopterous Inundation (instrumental)
13. Scarlet Explosion (instrumental)
14. Pink Unicorn Chaos Rainbow (instrumental)
15. Snuff Film Casting Call (instrumental)
16. Cute Girls Cutting Zombies to Pieces (instrumental)

Guitars and bass by Aljaž Špehar on tracks 1, 3, 5, 6 and 8 (Aljaž's Youtube & Twitter)
Guitars and bass by PSYCHSTEY on tracks 2, 4 and 7 (PSYCHSTEY's Bandcamp, Youtube & Twitter)

Click here to listen to the entire EP on Youtube (well, without the instrumental versions)

Download from Bandcamp or Mediafire

This is the first (but hopefully not last) DES release with real guitars, and as you can hear, it makes a pretty huge difference not just in terms of how the songs sound but what the songs are like, and I'm really glad about that and generally thankful to Aljaž and PSYCHSTEY for collabing with me on this!

Deformed Elephant Surgery discography (free download)

Since there's a limit of 200 free downloads a month on Bandcamp and that has run out three times, I figured it's time to have somewhere that people can download all the DES albums from without having to go on potentially shady sites.

Currently, the entire discography is free to download and there is no option to pay (except for the latest single but you still shouldn't pay for it). If you want to support DES, don't.

With regards to the older stuff, please keep in mind that I started DES as a solo project when I was 15 in 2009 so everything before around 2012-2013 is absolute shit and cringily trying way too hard, etc. I regret a lot of early lyrics, song titles, etc. but the past can't be changed, and judging the late 2000s' and early 2010s' myspacegrind/myspacecore and post-myspacegrind scene(s) by 2020s' standards is kinda stupid. Don't get me wrong, it was fun at the time to just go for maximum edge and not care about anything for shits and giggles without thinking ahead for longer than a week, but it was a different time. If you like early DES, whatever, but if it's BECAUSE of the lyrics... well, please keep that to yourself and don't tell anyone about DES, ok?

I've decided to remove the download links to the first three albums. If you're into goregrind, there are thousands of artists out there who still do exactly that same type of shit, and don't try to tell me "nooo your early stuff was unique" because it was literally the most basic myspacegrind you ever heard... in fact, the worst. But since those are the albums you'll find everywhere when you google DES, unfortunately that's the legacy.

I haven't included split albums because I never got to download half of them myself, and the ones that were done directly with other artists/bands are all either available somewhere else or no longer available anywhere; I also honestly don't remember half of the splits I've done, so... yeah, that's shitty of me, but I don't remember much of my life from around the time most of the splits were done. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If anything gets deleted (Mediafire does that sometimes), let me know and I'll reupload.

So yeah, it took a while to get this album to the point it was ready to be uploaded anywhere, mostly because of unrelated things and stuff... all the songs were like finished a pretty long time ago, but there were things like my voice getting all shit and at least Nves having a life and whatnot. Anyway, here it is, if anyone actually gives a shit, which would be nice.

Deformed Elephant Surgery - Rushed Light Onset (2013)

I've finished a new EP. It's called "Rushed Light Onset", since it's kinda rushed and it mostly sounds like shit. Still, every song has parts that I'm proud of, which is why I released it anyway.

Deformed Elephant Surgery - Pink Unicorn's Extraordinary Adventures (2012)

It's finally finished! Over two hours long, more variety than ever before, and most of all, it's the best album I've ever done. Obviously, I always say that, but it's true; I keep getting better. If you don't believe me, well, just listen the album, you won't lose anything even if you don't like it.

Download: part 1 and part 2

The album is divided in two "themes" and extra stuff which are re-whatevered versions of older songs and stuff that didn't fit into either of those two "concepts" that are on the main parts of the album.

If you want to listen before downloading, here's one song:

I'm really, really proud of this whole album, since, you know, it's so huge and stuff, and like I said, all the variety. I've never succeeded at doing anything as clear-sounding before either, so that's another thing I'm really proud of. Although some people might feel like the lack of distortion, brutality, etc. is me "selling out", it's obvious that it's not; if I was to "sell out", I'd start selling my music, you know. :P Which, mind you, is perfectly possible at some point in my life if I just get the chance to do that. But for now, it's not, so I don't care, and I do whatever I want, and right now that's stuff that sounds like this.

Anyway, some of the vocals are pretty damn distorted in a lot of songs, since my brother suggested that (probably didn't mean that much, but well... xD) and that's one of the reasons that I'm really proud of it. So it should go without saying that I couldn't have done with album without my brother, who gave ideas and helped me a lot by just that. \(ᴼᴗᴼ)/

Please, everyone, share this album with your friends, "like" on Facebook, and subscribe on Youtube and "like" the songs there, etc. and whatnot, post it on your blogs/whatever, and so on, since there's that music blog extinction going on, and it's making it even harder to get any publicity at all.

Deformed Elephant Surgery - Neurovasculoferous Exoskeletal Teratomorphoitis (2012)

Yep, I just finished the new Deformed Elephant Surgery album. It's pretty much a sort of... well, a few new songs, a few remastered older ones, etc. and I'm not really proud of how it all fits together, but you know... it's better to have a shitload of stuff for a full-length than a few good songs for an EP. That's what I think, at least, when doing stuff. Anyway... so, yeah.

Track list:
01. Diabolical Corpse Predator (Apocalypse Edit)
02. Burning Bush Monkey
03. Mutated Space Dog Priapism
04. Lungfucked to Life
05. Celestial Alignment in Remembrance of the Monumental Disfiguration
06. The Helioambulist
07. Molest Like a Walrus
08. Chug Chug Wub Wub (Extended)
09. Phallus Mortis: Tribulation of the Headless Mortician
10. Sandalphon's Hieroincarnation Through Arterioparasitic Neurovascularization
11. Manmade Hypersexual Abomination
12. Diabolical Corpse Predator (Orchestral)
13. Mutation (Orchestral)

CHUG CHUG WUB WUB + some sorta update thingy

I should probably have posted this here, since it seems like only very few people listen it otherwise... not that any more would if I post it here. Anyway, yeah, it's just an extended version of the song "Chug Chug Wub Wub", some remastering and stuff (mostly making it heavier/more brutal/whatever) and mostly re-recorded vocals with new lyrics that aren't as ridiculous and stupid.

Also, there's gonna be a new Deformed Elephant Surgery album as soon as I get enough inspiration to do a few more new songs; right now, I've done two that are completely new, one that was on the split with Skull Incision (you can download it here) and this one, a remastered version of "Diabolical Corpse Predator" and an orchestral version of "Mutation", which isn't necessarily finished yet... if I'd just manage to make it epic instead of calming, that'd be awesome but... you know, it's hard to do something epic from something that isn't epic without changing it too much to be considered the same thing. :P

But yeah, probably at least 3 more new songs and something, then it'll be done.

The new Deformed Elephant Surgery album, "Ubiquitous Astrolatric Oneirotheosis"

Well, so I finished doing the new album, and thought "Ubiquitous Astrolatric Oneirotheosis" was a fitting name for it, googled it, found nothing... and that's how it ended up being that. Anyway, I uploaded a few of the songs on Youtube:

And you probably want to download the whole album if you like those songs, and that's what this link is here for:
DOWNLOAD
(along with "The Transdimensional Cataclysm")
I also did album art, which you already saw on those videos, but it won't hurt to put it here as well so you can see the whole thing in full size, although it's also included in the download, but well.
